Bending needles when using a Coil machine, or a Rotary machine with long needles, is a crucial technique to ensure the needle is securely anchored at the base of the needle tip. But did you know you can do the same with needle cartridges?:

I use Cheyenne safety cartridge needles, but any cartridge with a Tip you can open will work.

Push the needle out from the back of the cartridge and apply a bit of force to bend it downwards. Don’t exert too much pressure, or the tip of the needle might break.
